1. Rules
1. The competition will run from 10:00 on the 28thFebruary 2021 and will close at 11:59 on 26th March 2021. Entries received outside of this time frame will not be accepted.
2. The competition is open to all UK residents aged 16 or under. Proof of age may be required.
3. All applicants must have consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering the competition. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) agree to the rules and Terms & Conditions on behalf of the applicants.
4. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

Please include the name of your mascot, your name, age, and a contact number of the entrant.
2. Prize
1. KOAC, at its discretion, may ask for proof of age before sending out any prizes.
2. Once the competition deadline has passed the trustees of KOAC will assess the entries and select the top drawings from those received which will go to a public poll on social media.
3. The public poll will determine the winner, a second placed runner up and a third placed runner up.
4. All nominated entries will be notified that they are in the final 10 via the means of contact you have initially used before the vote goes live.
5. The winner and runners up will be notified by email or telephone (using the details provided at entry) within 14 days of the decision and will need to provide a postal address at this time for delivery of the prize.
6. Should we not receive a postal address in this time, then the prize will be forfeited. In extenuating circumstances, this deadline may be extended at the discretion of the board of trustees.
7. The prizes are as follows:
i. First Place – £100 of vouchers to spend at either Lego or Disney stores
ii. Second Place – £50 of vouchers to spend at either Lego or Disney stores
8. KOAC will work with our design team to finalise our mascot based on the winning entry. This will then be used on our social media, website, and marketing.
9. The prizes cannot be sold on for profit or gain.
3. Terms & conditions
1. KOAC reserves the right to close the competitionearly or extend the competition at its discretion.
2. By submitting your drawing to the above, you are consenting to KOAC posting the received artwork on our social media channels using the name and age provided.
3. Entries cannot be returned to the entrant unless sent with a stamped addressed envelope is provided to KOAC.
4. KOAC cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged entries.
5. KOAC shall not be liable for any delay or default in the execution of its obligations in the case of any event outside its control including but not limited to natural disasters, bad weather, fires, explosions, floods, failure or delay of third-party suppliers, internet connection failures, computer hardware or software failures or errors, national strikes, accidents, riots, acts of terrorism, war, pandemics or civil uprisings.
6. The Decision of the Board of Trustees shall be final and unchallengeable and in their absolute discretion they may declare any entry void. The board may authorise a representative to undertake any or allthe functions under these terms.
7. KOAC reserves the right to amend these terms & conditions at any point and without prior notice.
8. Full copyright title shall be retained by the author of any entry. By submitting an entry to KOAC, you agree to grant KOAC a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display and exercise all publicity rights with respect to your entry, and/or to incorporate your entry in other works, in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your entry, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in the KOAC’s Privacy Policy.
9. Your entry must be your own work and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that your design does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
10. You warrant to us that your design is your own work and that it does not contain anything that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise offensive.
11. You warrant to us that you own the copyright for your design. However, if chosen as the winner of the competition the provisions laid out in clause 17 will apply.
12. Our right to use your entry includes the right to copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, and otherwise communicate it to the public, including via our website and publicity materials and on social media, but for the avoidance of doubt we shall not sell or commercially exploit your entry without your consent.
13. We shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any entrant or Winner and/or any guest, parent,or guardian (where applicable) in connection with entering this competition, producing their design or the enjoyment of the prizes.
14. We shall not be liable for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any person as a result of taking part (or not being able to take part) in the competition or as a result of taking up (or not being able to take up) a prize.
15. Nothing shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury as a result of our negligence, or our or your liability for any fraudulent misrepresentation. 22.
16. You agree to keep confidential any information of any nature about KOAC and its business, personnel and any sponsors that is received by you as a result of participating in the competition.
17. We shall keep your personal details for a reasonable time so that we can operate the competition and verify that these Rules have been complied with, as well as for accounting purposes. Any personal data relating to you will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
18. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel thecompetition and/or to amend or supplement these Rules at any time, without prior notice or liability. Any changes will be posted within these Rules or on the KOAC website.
19. We reserve the right to disqualify, without liability, any entrant if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of these Rules.
