Arianna – The Real Wonder Woman

We started to follow Arianna’s journey on Instagram earlier this year and it wasn’t long before we saw exactly how amazing the real wonder woman was.

Arianna has been diagnosed with Stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma – a form of aggressive cancer that is almost always found in Children, with a survival rate of only around 50%. The family knew very little about it when their world was turned upside down in November 2021.

Wendy’s Trip to Alton Towers

When the UK came back to some form of normality, we organised a weekend in Alton Towers for the family. This was all in line with the Covid regulations of both the government and the venue itself.

Rachel’s VIP Jack Whitehall Experience

Mid-way through January we also helped another lovely lady, Rachel. We first heard from Rachel quite a while ago, but sadly due to her cancer treatment, we had struggled to find a date for her to have an experience.

Gina and Family Trip to London

We were delighted to be able to send Gina and her two daughters Jacqui and Wendy to London for the weekend. Jacqui had contacted us a few months ago to share her mother’s story and as soon as we heard it, we had not hesitation in helping.

Jojo Siwa

The name Jojo Siwa might not mean a lot to some of you, but if you have two young daughters, you will of course understand how massive the young star is. So massive that she sold out the O2! That’s not a problem for KOAC!

A Family Trip to Beamish

We were recently contacted by Deborah who had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer earlier this year. Deborah requested a special family trip during the school holidays as she had continued to work while undergoing treatment and had understandably struggled with fatigue.

Macintosh Family Trip to Legoland

Recently we arranged a trip to Legoland for the Macintosh family. We had previously been contacted by Kerry-Anne who had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in December. Kerry-Anne wanted to arrange day out for her little boy to enjoy especially after spending 3 weeks of the school holidays undergoing radiotherapy. After reading Kerry-Anne’s story and knowing the toll that undergoing cancer treatment must have taken on the whole family, we decided they were more than deserving of a special trip away.

Family Break in the Forest of Dean

A short while back we were contacted by Natalie who had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer earlier this year. The past few months had been tough on Natalie and her family after undergoing surgery and going through chemotherapy. There was no doubt in the minds of the trustees at KOAC that a well-deserved break with her family was in order.
