Kicking Off Against Cancer can today officially announce recent trustee changes – Matt Farr has decided to step down to be replaced by Peter Coughlin.

Matt, has been with us from day one and has been an integral member of the KOAC family, not only in his role of Treasurer and all things financial, but as an exceptionally hard working and trusted member of our team.

A recent change in jobs has meant that Matt no longer feels he can dedicate the time he would like to carry on the hard work he has put in to KOAC.

He leaves us with our utmost gratitude and thanks for everything he has done whilst on the board of trustees, his commitment and knowledge have been invaluable to all of us at the charity.

Matt, announced his intentions to step down to us a little while ago, yet kindly stayed on until we were able to find a suitable replacement on the board.

Thankfully, we believe we have acquired an excellent new trustee and are really happy to announce our latest addition to the KOAC family, Peter Coughlin.

Peter has an outstanding record of fundraising from personal projects to his role as Chairman of the local Golf Society and comes with a fantastic amount of enthusiasm and passion.

In a short amount of time, Pete has already shown that he is going to be an excellent addition to KOAC and can’t wait to properly get his teeth into charity life.

“I feel very honoured to have been asked to become a trustee of KOAC. The charities vision and aims definitely align with my own.

The ability for the charity to assist those suffering from cancer while always putting the people we help first with compassion and understanding is something I am a huge advocate of.

Bringing some happy memories and some respite from the battle these people are undergoing is the least that we can do and I cannot wait to put my ideas and energy into helping as many people as we can.”
